Wayne Cares: Suit Drive
Helping to build a successful community is part of Wayne State University's urban mission. Lending helpful hands to uplift those in need is a critical building block. Wayne Cares is a university outreach initiative that brings together the university community for the purpose of charitable giving. Its primary goal is to help university units work together and collaborate with each other for the good of the community.
Jackets for Jobs, Inc.„¢ is a 501© non-profit organization which provides career skills training, employment etiquette and professional clothes to individuals seeking employment. Since opening their doors in March 2000, Jackets for Jobs has assisted over 7,000 individuals with employment. This organization has a national impact through support and applause from Donald Trump, the cast from The Apprentice, ABC's The View, NBC's Today Show and they have had the distinct honor of ringing the closing bell on NASDAQ in New York City.
