Welcome to Wayne State University's Government and Community Affairs website. We have designed this site to be a source of information for the Wayne State University community, state legislators, community groups, and others interested in Michigan's only urban research university.

Government and Community Affairs supports the university's goals and strategic plan by working with local and state elected officials to ensure adequate funding for the University and nearly 24,000 students who are enrolled in one or more of our 375+ academic programs. Our Community Affairs office is actively involved in the community, working with civic organizations throughout Detroit and the metropolitan area.
