Wayne Cares: COTS 2009
Helping to build a successful community is part of Wayne State University's urban mission. Lending helpful hands to uplift those in need is a critical building block. Wayne Cares is a university outreach initiative that brings together the university community for the purpose of charitable giving. Its primary goal is to help university units work together and collaborate with each other for the good of the community.
From November 30, 2009 through December 18, 2009, Wayne Cares collected donations for the Coalition on Temporary Shelter (COTS), whose mission is to alleviate homelessness by providing an array of services that enable people to achieve self-sufficiency and obtain quality affordable housing.
