State Affairs

Greg BirdOur mission is to promote and advance, through continued relationship building in the community and the halls of government, the strategic initiatives and goals of the university, and to serve as the university's central source of contact with public policy makers, government officials and community leaders.

From time to time, Wayne State University will call upon you to support our advocacy efforts in Lansing. The best method and greatest advocacy tool we have is direct contact between a legislator and his or her constituent. We need to utilize our collective voices to facilitate positive outcomes in the legislature. Never doubt that the everyday citizen can have an extraordinary impact.
