A WSU voter guide was produced for the Detroit Mayoral Special General Election, which took place Tuesday, May 5. The entire WSU community was asked, "If you could ask the Detroit Mayoral candidates one question, what would it be?" Approximately 269 questions were submitted. From these 269 questions, selected professors and a representative from Student Council created six questions to ask Ken Cockrel, Jr. and Dave Bing.Wayne State University asked key questions of each major candidate for this race about issues important to the future of Detroit. Each candidate was allowed up to 150 words to answer each question. WSU did not edit or modify those answers. Below each question you will see each candidate’s response.
